Rodzanica is a dual-purpose civilian/military radio station located in the semi-abandoned region of Nadbór, Livonia.

Overview[]

The hilltop of Rodzanica has a large radio tower erected at its peak. The station can only be accessed through the paved road that originates from the SIŁA Factory to its north-west.

Prior to late 2035, the station was solely operated by civilian radio broadcasters. Since then, the station has been reserved for military use on a biennial basis, following the commencement of the "Electron" joint military exercises held by the Livonian Defense Force and its NATO allies.[1]

For the duration of each exercise, the U.S. Army primarily uses the tower to broadcast important messages to all units deployed in the region. Soldiers can also tune in to listen to the Armed Forces Radio channel, which plays a selection of music tracks of various genres chosen by the senior officer(s) in charge.[1]

Trivia[]

Spinoff noncanon
SPIN-OFF: The following information stems from a spin-off expansion or third party Creator DLC and is considered to be non-canon in the main Armaverse timeline.
  • For Exercise Electron-39, Lieutenant John Kingsly was placed in charge of maintaining the AFR's playlist. His customised playlist consists solely of classical music:[2]
    • "Souvenir de Florence" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
    • "Hebrides Overture" (alternately known as as "Fingal's Cave"/"Abbado") by Felix Mendelssohn
    • "Smetana ~ Moldau" by Bedřich Smetana
  • In turn, Major Don Homewood appears to despise Kingsly's choice of music, stating that if he were in Colonel Richter's position of authority, he would immediately make the station a "[...] tier one priority target".[1]

  2. Alsworth, S 2021, Hiya! The only one I'm missing in the list above is Felix Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture. Here's the list with some YouTube links for your enjoyment: - Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, 'Souvenir de Florence' - Felix Mendelssohn, 'Hebrides Overture' (aka, 'Fingal's Cave') - Bedřich Smetana, 'The Vltava / Moldau', from Má Vlast Another one that didn't quite make the cut, but we considered: - Ludwig Beethoven, 'Symphony No.7 in A Major (2nd Movement)' (tough call between this and Mendelssohn for the 'first contact' scene!
