« | The LDF has access to brand-new advanced modular combat helmets. Besides basic uncovered / covered versions, there are two levels of enhanced protection provided by optional ear protectors and full chops. Standard accessory rails allow for mounting cameras, lights, and so on. Field Manual[1]

The Advanced Modular Helmet is a ballistic-resistant helmet used by the Livonian Defense Force in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Contact DLC.
Overview[]
Standard-issue combat helmet of the Livonian Defense Force, the Advanced Modular Helmet combines a canvas cover with a hardened aramid shell. The regular model with only an olive-coloured canvas cover has a weight of 30 "mass" units[CfgWp 1] while the sub-variant fitted with a headset weighs 35 "mass" units instead.[CfgWp 2]
Essentially the LDF's equivalent of the Combat Helmet worn by their American allies, the Advanced Modular Helmet is virtually identical in all aspects save for appearance. Both Advanced Modular Helmet variants are rated at Level II protection standards. As a result, its protective qualities are quite mediocre and won't stop much more than a single 6.5 mm rifle bullet at non-point blank ranges. It does not protect the wearer against hits from 7.62 mm DMR rounds unless their velocity has dropped to extremely low levels at the time of impact.
Variants[]
Chops[]
The Chops variant is fitted with two extended cheek plates which cover most of the wearer's face. It has a weight of 50 "mass" units.[CfgWp 3] This model's sole advantage stems exclusively from the two face plates ("chops") which offer some protection to the wearer against damage from indirect explosions.
However, the chops are not intended to provide cover against ballistic projectiles as their base armour values are even less than that of NATO's Light Combat Helmet (3 versus the LCH's 4). At most, the wearer could potentially survive a hit from a 9 mm round thanks to its 90% damage reduction modifier. But at point blank range, the chops offer little more protection than a paper hat to damage from ballistic projectiles.
Ear Protectors[]
Fitted with ballistic guards on both sides of the helmet, the Ear Protectors variant provides increased surface coverage of the wearer's head. This modification comes at a cost of 10 additional "mass" units (totalling to 40).[CfgWp 4]
However, the Ear Protectors still do little to increase the wearer's survivability to gunfire. In all other aspects, there is not much of an improvement over the baseline Advanced Modular Helmet.

Camouflage[]
- Geometric: Forest green coloured rails and canvas cover with woodland-themed camouflage applied intended to mimic the LDF's Geometric pattern.
- Olive: Pale green canvas cover with forest green-coloured rails.
Trivia[]
- Advanced Modular Helmets appear to be modelled after "HP-05" ballistic helmets designed by MASKPOL S.A., a protective gear manufacturer based in Poland.
- It is misleadingly described as a Level III-rated helmet. In practice, its protection standards and base armour value make it no better than a Level II-rated helmet (for both regular and modified variants).
