« | An SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) is a generic marketing term for a vehicle similar to a station wagon, but built on a light-truck chassis. These particular SUVs are up-armored to protect the security operators inside from small-arms fire. This model has been outfitted with a M134 7.62mm Minigun, which can be retracted back into the vehicle. "Black Betty" is a nickname often used for this vehicle by ION Inc. contractors. Design[]
The Armored SUV is simply a regular SUV that has been retrofitted with armour plating to provide the occupants with protection from small arms fire.
Armament
The Armored SUV carries a 7.62 mm Gatling gun that is fitted onto the turret ring in the centre of the vehicle. It feeds from a single linked 2,000-round belt and has no spare belts in reserve to reload from.
Features
The Armored SUV shares the same strengths and flaws of the baseline SUV, the only major differences being that it can defend itself thanks to the mounted minigun.
It also boasts (slightly) increased resistance against small arms fire though as a consequence, transports one less passenger due to the gunner's turret taking up the rear two seats. In all other aspects, it is completely identical to its parent vehicle in every other way.
Crew Capacity
The SUV has a seating capacity of up to three passengers and the driver themselves. The gunner handles the M134-armed turret in the centre of the vehicle.

Protection[]
The Armored SUV has a base armour value of 120.
Successful strikes to any of the following highlighted sections will inflict full damage to the component:
Body[]
The vehicle's body can survive 120 points of damage.
Engine[]
The engines can incur up to 120 points of damage before failing. A damaged engine will prevent the Armored SUV from being able to attain its top speed.
Fuel tank[]
The fuel tank can take 120 points of damage before rupturing. Incurred damage will cause the Armored SUV to gradually leak fuel over time.
Wheels[]
Each tyre can withstand up to 48 points of damage before bursting.
Armament[]
The gunner position occupies and handles the roof-mounted turret:

It has a variable fire rate depending on the selected fire mode:
- LOW: ~ 666 rounds per minute
- HIGH: 1,200 rounds per minute
It has a muzzle velocity of 900 m/s. Accuracy-wise, it has a fixed dispersion value of 0.0017 rad at ranges of up to 800 metres away.
Trivia[]
- Like its baseline counterpart, the Armored SUV simply uses a fictional, minigun-armed configuration of the real-world 2009 "Suburban SUV" designed by Chevrolet.
