Arudy is a settlement located on the island of Malden.
Overview[]
Arudy is a small village located near the centre of the island. It lies on a stretch of road that runs between the town of Dourdan to its east and La Pessagne to the west.
The village is home to the Le Argois cheese company. Founded in 1847, it is well-known for its "45% guaranteed fat" cheese products.[1]

Cross of Arudy[]
Dedicated to the fallen from the 1985 flashpoint[2], this statue serves as a commemorative tribute to the American and Soviet soldiers who fought for control over Malden.[3]
The plaque's inscription reads as follows: "To the immortal memory of these who died in pointless war".
