« | The B40 is a portable, reloadable launcher capable of firing an 80mm unguided HEAT rocket up to 150m. The B stands for Ba Do Ka (Bazooka) as it is a Vietnamese copy of a Soviet RPG-2 with a shorter rear barrel guard. B40s were widely used by PAVN and Viet Cong rifle squads to suppress US bunkers and machineguns in an anti-infantry role, as well as for shooting down helicopters and engaging trucks and tanks. MACV SOG Recon Teams routinely carried B40s to improve their own firepower. Field Manual

The B40 is a reloadable, shoulder-fired 82 mm recoilless anti-tank launcher.
It can be loaded with two types of 82 mm grenades that are fitted with high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warheads.[CfgAm 1] B40s cannot be fitted with telescopic sights but do feature adjustable ironsights that can be zeroed to three range presets: 100 metres, 150 metres, and 200 metres.[CfgWp 5]
Ironsights[]

The B40's ironsights can be manually adjusted, though it is restricted to only three range settings: 100 metres, 150 metres, and 200 metres.[CfgWp 5] By default, they are set to a zeroing of 100 metres.[CfgWp 6]
Munitions[]
B40s are capable of loading two types of grenades.[CfgWp 7] Both share the same weight of 30 "mass" units:[CfgMa 3][CfgMa 4]

Standard-issue anti-armour grenade. Uses a high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead.[CfgAm 1]
PG-2 grenades are always launched with an initial velocity of 84 m/s.[CfgMa 5] 0.1 seconds after being launched[CfgAm 17], the PG-2's velocity will begin dropping to 80 m/s[CfgAm 10] after just 0.05 seconds of flight.[CfgAm 18] The grenade's fuse will automatically detonate if it does not hit its target 14 seconds after launch.[CfgAm 19]
The primary component of the PG-2's warhead is classified as high-explosive (HE).[CfgAm 6] It inflicts purely explosive-type damage[CfgAm 12] and has a blast radius of 1.5 metres.[CfgAm 7] Its kinetic submunition on the other hand is classified as a high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) munition.[CfgAm 1] It is launched with a velocity of 1,000 m/s[CfgAm 9] and can pierce up to 300 millimetres of armour plating.[CfgAm 14][Formula 1]
Rocket PG-2 Fuze[]

Alternate HEAT grenade with a shorter timed fuse. The main difference with the PG-2 Fuze is that it will automatically explode after only 1.8 seconds of flight time as opposed to the PG-2 HEAT's default timer of 14 seconds.[CfgAm 29]
PG-2 Fuze grenades are launched with an initial velocity of 84 m/s.[CfgMa 6] 0.1 seconds after launch[CfgAm 30], the PG-2 Fuze's velocity will begin to drop down to 80 m/s[CfgAm 25] after only 0.05 seconds of flight time.[CfgAm 31]
The primary component of the PG-2 Fuze's warhead is classified as high-explosive (HE).[CfgAm 22] It inflicts purely explosive-type damage[CfgAm 26] and has a blast radius of 1.5 metres.[CfgAm 23] Its kinetic submunition on the other hand is classified as a high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) munition.[CfgAm 1] It is launched with a velocity of 1,000 m/s[CfgAm 24] and can pierce up to 300 millimetres of armour plating.[CfgAm 14][Formula 1]
Trivia[]
- The alternate PG-2 Fuze grenade was only added after the release of Update 1.3[1] and was not included as part of the DLC's assets at launch.
