Beanie (hat)

Beanies are wearable hats worn by units across multiple BLUFOR factions in ArmA 3.

Overview[]

This watch cap is made entirely out of wool and is also paired alongside a compact headset. It has a weight of 6 "mass" units.^{[CfgWp 1]}

Beanies do not protect the wearer from either gunfire or indirect explosions.

Game Update 1.26 corrected a minor visual glitch in the Beanie's model that would cause shadow bleeding to occur if a character wearing the hat was looked at from specific angles and distances.^[1]

The information below details unused, pre-release or removed content.

There are two unused textures for a dark blue^[2] and pale red^[3] Beanie along with a hidden config entry for an alternate sage green-coloured version^[4].
- There is also an additional model which lacks the headset (Model name: woolhat.p3d^[5]). Like the unused texture variants however, it is not known as to why this specific model remains unused.
