NOTE: This article is about Bicycles used by both East/West Germans in Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany. For North/South Vietnamese Bicycles in S.O.G. Prairie Fire, see Bicycle (S.O.G.). |
The Bicycle is used by several BLUFOR, REDFOR and civilian factions in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- Roles:
- Troop transport
- Civil transportation
- Law enforcement
- Postal delivery

Features
The Bicycle is available in four additional configurations for both civil and military users: one used by the Bundespolizei, another by West German post delivery services, a third exclusive to the National People's Army, and a Service variant used by the Bundeswehr as well as borderguard patrol teams.
Crew Capacity
No matter its configuration, all Bicycles only support a driver and are unable to carry passengers.
Variants[]
Camouflage[]
NOTE: There are additional camouflage schemes for non-East and West German BLUFOR/REDFOR nations. Please note that these nations are not actually featured as playable factions in the DLC.
American[]
NOTE: Not featured as a playable faction.
Civilian[]
East German[]
Soviet[]
NOTE: Not featured as a playable faction.
West German[]
Protection[]
NOTE: Due to way hitpoints are arranged on the Bicycle's model, only explosives and other forms of munitions that inflict splash damage will be effective at outright destroying the Bicycle.
All Bicycles have a base armour value of 30. Although Bicycles are not exclusive to civilian factions, no variant (military versions included) allows for addon armour modules to be installed.
Body[]
The Bicycle's frame can only take a maximum of 30 points of damage before it breaks. It takes 150% additional damage from high-explosive (HE) type munitions. 100% of incoming damage will always be shared with the Bicycle's main "health" pool.
Wheels[]
Both wheels can only withstand up to 6 points of damage before their tyres burst. They take 400% increased damage from HE-type munitions. At least 30% of incoming damage to either wheel will be shared with the Bicycle's main "health" pool.
Trivia[]
An Army Bicycle "burns" after it suffers critical damage.
- At launch, Bicycles would wobble wildly even when they were being driven across flat terrain. Stability for all variants of the Bicycle was improved after the release of Update 1.0.3153.[1]
- Prior to Update 1.5, Bicycles did not have the ability to ring a bell.[2]
- Update 1.5 also included unique U.S. and Soviet military camouflage schemes.[2]
