If we look back on Arma 3’s development, we can see it’s gone through multiple stages. Each of those came with a certain focus. The Alpha and Beta were of course very much about building up the core platform. Then, after the Gold release, we turned a large part of our attention to user content creation (Eden 3D Editor, Steam Workshop, Arma 3 Launcher). Next was Arma 3 Apex, which was an opportunity to take the series to a fresh new locale, but also represented the culmination of platform development in terms of gameplay features and multiplayer systems. The two years after that were largely about vehicle warfare and delivering diverse singleplayer experiences – all the way up to the armor-enhancing Tanks DLC/1.8…Read more >

Even though Arma 3 was, we dare say, our most stable Arma at launch, the game has certainly come a very long way since then. In the past years, it has pushed beyond its Apex with even more content and platform updates. We've said it before, and we'll continue doing so; all of this was possible thanks to our community.
Besides supporting our DLC strategy and constantly providing us with valuable feedback, you've helped grow the game into a platform with an incredible amount of user-made content that is enjoyed by the largest number of players to date. Arma 3 is definitely he…
So ehm, this is my first blog post. It's also my first day.
In this post I actually want to introduce myself, but I have little to no idea how to do it, so I'll just do it. I am Эмилй, but just call me Emily, I think everyone can understand that better. I love digital arts and I love using HTML or CSS. I know both work together, so please don't be that one guy who says: "CSS and HTML can be used together"; I know alright.
Besides that, I love languages and history. If you look at my profile, you shall see I speak a lot of languages, but like I also mention, please talk English to me. If something happens, I don't want to translate everything, because 1, that's not reliable if I'm part of the problem or related, 2, google translate doesn't …Read more >

Set in the distant future, Lost Dragons aims to provide a multiplayer total conversion experience for ArmA 3. Players find themselves members of corporate entities, sent to a planet beyond our solar system with the objective of recovering a "Dragon-class" aerial warship. These are old machines of war however, left abandoned as humanity fell during years past. Thus not only must the Dragon warship be found, it must be reactivated and repaired, all while an opposing team(s) tries to hinder and reverse said progress; multiple companies are now seeking such a rare prize.
Currently, a match will begin with players deployed alongside a C2C (command and control) vehicle, logistic assets, and light utility vehicles. That's not to say teams won'…

Bohemia Interactive today released a brand new video to further introduce the role of the ground vehicle crewman in Arma 3. The new video takes a closer look at each of these crew member’s responsibilities, while exploring some of the core principles of ground vehicle combat.

Bohemia Interactive today announced that one million Czech koruna from the Arma 3 Karts DLC sales will be donated to the Czech Red Cross. Arma 3 Karts, which was originally revealed as an April Fools‘ joke, was released about one month ago as a fun little sidestep in Arma 3’s typically military sandbox. Its primary purpose was to test Arma 3’s experimental approach to DLC, which Bohemia Interactive explained in more detail in their recent devblog.
Whereas DLC (downloadable content) often fractures a game’s playerbase between those who own and those who do not own DLC content, Bohemia Interactive prepared a solution which prevents such a split in the Arma 3 playerbase. By making all DLC content available to all owner…Read more >

Below, we set out the ways we've sought to achieve this goal. Ahead of its release (and the impending development-branch staging), we want to introduce Bootcamp's new modes, sandbox content, and refined gameplay mechanics. We'd like to share our motivations and present the benefits to new and veteran players alike.

A few weeks after the studio shared its 2014-2015 development roadmap for Arma 3 (announcing upcoming DLCs and a major expansion), Bohemia Interactive today posted a new devblog to explain how it aims to prevent a split in the Arma 3 playerbase.
DLC often fractures a game's playerbase, which is most noticeable in the multiplayer environment, where such a split prevents players that do not own DLC from joining friends who do own it. Given the nature of Arma 3 as an open platform, Bohemia Interactive set itself the goal to develop an alternative solution. While the new strategy is somewhat experimental, Bohemia Interactive's plan is to make all Arma 3 downloadable content available to all owners of Arma 3, wi…Read more >
