Features
The Bonn is available in two variants: the baseline car driven by Vietnamese commoners, and a Taxi sub-variant driven by vehicle-for-hire companies. Whoever is riding in the vehicle's front-right seat has the ability to fire their own weapons out of the vehicle[CfgVh 2] when their windows are rolled down.[CfgVh 6][CfgVh 7]

Mobility
The Bonn's engine has a power output of 33 kW[CfgVh 8] and generate up to 86 N·m of torque.[CfgVh 9]

Crew Capacity
Bonn cars only support a driver and up to three passengers.[CfgVh 1][CfgVh 2]

Variants[]

Arma3-render-sogpfbohemebonntaxi
Commercial taxi variant. It transports the same number of passengers as the baseline Bonn car.

This variant is not available to REDFOR factions.

Camouflage[]

It should be noted that the Taxi scheme is exclusive to Bonn Taxis only and cannot be applied to non-Taxi Bonn cars (and vice versa).

Protection: Hitpoints[]

The Bonn has a base armour value of 25.[CfgVh 10] It is not possible to attach any kind of addon armour onto the vehicle's body.

The following highlighted positions serve as weak points on the Bonn:

LEGEND'"`UNIQ--ref-00000011-QINU`"'Green = BodyOrange = EngineViolet = Fuel tank

LEGEND[SCR 2]
Green = Body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank

Body[]

The Bonn's body can withstand up to 125 points of damage.[CfgVh 11][Formula 1] It takes 150% increased damage from high-explosive (HE) type munitions.[CfgVh 12] At least 60% of incoming damage will be shared with the vehicle's main "health" pool. Depending on the Bonn's overall "health" status, the vehicle can outright explode if the body's integrity is fully depleted.[CfgVh 13][CfgVh 14]

Engine[]

The Bonn's engine can only take a maximum of 25 points of damage before it fails.[CfgVh 15][Formula 2] It takes 50% reduced damage from HE-type munitions.[CfgVh 16] Up to 60% of incoming damage will be shared with the vehicle's main "health" pool. The Bonn can explode if it is at critical "health" status at the time of the engine's destruction.[CfgVh 17]

Fuel tank[]

The Bonn's fuel tank can only withstand up to 12.5 points of damage before it ruptures.[CfgVh 18][Formula 3] It takes 150% increased damage from HE-type munitions.[CfgVh 19] Only 10% of damage inflicted upon the fuel tank will be shared with the Bonn's main "health" pool.[CfgVh 20]

Wheels[]

Each of the Bonn's four wheels can take up to 30 points of damage before their tyres burst.[CfgVh 21][CfgVh 22][CfgVh 23][CfgVh 24][note 1] Damage inflicted upon any of the wheels will not be shared with the Bonn's main "health" pool.[CfgVh 25][CfgVh 26][CfgVh 27][CfgVh 28]

The Bonn's body, chassis, bumpers (both front and rear), as well as the wheel hub caps are made out of plain metals. These plates of metal have a thickness of 30 millimetres.[rvmat 1][bisurf 1] The car's fuel tank is also made out of metal, though its plates are thinner and have a thickness of just 6 millimetres.[rvmat 2][bisurf 2]

The engine is made out of cast iron[rvmat 3][bisurf 3], the steering wheel is made out of plastic[rvmat 4][bisurf 4], and the car's seats are made out of leather.[rvmat 5][bisurf 5] On the other hand, windows and its headlights/rear lights are all made out glass. These panes of glass have a thickness of 5 millimetres.[rvmat 6][bisurf 6]

Mobility[]

Engine[]

The Bonn's engine has a power output of 33 kW.[CfgVh 8] It has an idle rotational speed of 20 rad/s[CfgVh 29] and a maximum rotational speed of 524 rad/s.[CfgVh 30] The engine has a maximum attainable torque of 86 N·m[CfgVh 9] and has a moment of inertia[5] value of 0.9.[CfgVh 31]

Defensive sensors[]

The Bonn is not equipped with defensive sensors of any kind. The driver will not be alerted if a guided weapon and/or projectile is attempting to acquire or has successfully acquired a lock onto the vehicle.[CfgVh 36][CfgVh 37]

AI[]

NOTE: The following information only applies to the AI.

Camouflage rating[]

Main article: AI Basics: Detection

The Bonn has a camouflage[8] rating of 2.[CfgVh 38]

Cost[]

Main article: AI Basics: Targeting priority

The Bonn has a cost[9] value of 10000.[CfgVh 39]

Threat values[]

Main article: AI Basics: Targeting priority

The Bonn is considered to be a medium-risk threat[10] to AI-controlled infantry units (0.6).[CfgVh 40]

AI-controlled ground vehicles also consider the Bonn to be as a (albeit lower priority) medium-risk threat (0.4), though aircraft only see it as a low-risk threat (0.1).[CfgVh 40]

Noise factor[]

Main article: AI Basics: Detection

The Bonn has an audible[11] factor of 5.[CfgVh 41]

Trivia[]

  • The in-game Bonn appears to be modelled after the real "De Luxe Ford" entry luxury car then-manufactured by the Ford Motor Company, but its handling specs are based on Peugot's "203 Berline" family car.[12]
  • The Boheme Bonn was initially only featured as a non-driveable prop that could be placed in the editor. It was eventually turned into a usable vehicle after the release of Update 1.1.[13]
  • Update 1.3 added the (then-new) Khmer Rouge faction as one of the users of the Bonn and also included the Taxi as a sub-variant.[14]

Notes[]

  1. The Bonn's wheel hitpoints do not use a coefficient value and are always set to a fixed value of 30.
  2. The minOmega configuration value is defined but the Bonn's engine will not idle at 800 RPM even though the idleRpm token IS defined.
  3. 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 The Bonn's RPM values have a slight deviation of ±0.01%-0.02% whilst it is shifted to reverse gear.
