The British Assault Pack is a BLUFOR backpack used exclusively by the British Army in ArmA 2. It was added with the release of the British Armed Forces DLC.
Overview[]
The standard-issue backpack carried by British Army troopers in Takistan, the British Assault Pack can store thirteen magazines at a time.[CfgVh 2] It is also able to fit a single non-heavy primary weapon or sidearm as a reserve weapon for the carrier.[CfgVh 1]
Relatively compact-sized, the British Assault Pack functions as the British Army's equivalent to the U.S. Army's Coyote. It can fit one additional weapon magazine or piece of equipment, but functions largely the same as its American counterpart in every other way.
Trivia[]
- The British Assault Pack's model was eventually ported and updated for use in ArmA 3 as the Tactical Backpack, though its textures were altered to remove the subdued British flag patch and had many more texture varieties included.
- The British Assault Pack appears to be based on the "Airborne Assault Pack" designed by Eagle Industries.
- It may also be partially inspired by the older generation model of London Bridge Trading's "Jumpable Devil Radio Backpack" (specifically the "LBT-1728A").
