« | As part of first contact protocols, CBRN over-garments are available to all NATO factions. They are made of highly advanced fabric layers with an activated carbon lining and omniphobic coating. A hood, gloves, and overboots are part of the outfit to create as much protection as possible, while still allowing limited tactical operations. Note: this gear is primarily cosmetic; limited features are only available in the context of Contact's campaign and gameplay. Field Manual

CBRN Suits are uniforms worn by several BLUFOR, REDFOR and INDFOR factions in ArmA 3. They were added with the release of the Contact DLC.
Overview[]
CBRN Suits are worn by chemical and biological warfare specialists operating in hazardous environments. They weigh a total "mass" of 45 and only provide 30 units' worth of space for ammunition or items.
Made out of advanced fabrics with an activated carbon lining and omniphobic coating, CBRN Suits provide their wearers with protection against exposure to chemical and biological hazards. In addition to the over-garment itself, the rest of the suit consists of a hood, gloves and overboots to further maximise its protective qualities.
They do not offer any protection from either small arms fire or explosives.
Camouflage[]

- Woodland: Woodland MTP camouflage scheme.
- Digital: Digitised semi-fractal camouflage pattern.
- Geometric: Fractal woodland camouflage.
- Blue: All-blue colour scheme.
- White: All-white colour scheme with black straps.
Trivia[]
- The CBRN Suit is the first NBC-oriented uniform in the entire series, though it doesn't actually have any practical uses in-game as chemical warfare is not simulated in ArmA 3.
- Despite being universally available to civilian, NATO, the AAF and LDF science/chemical warfare specialists, no REDFOR factions initially retained access to the CBRN Suit.
- The information below details unused, pre-release or removed content.
- An unused string (String name: str_a3_c_cfgweapons_u_b_cbrn_suit_01_gray_f0[2]) suggests that the CBRN Suit was presumably intended to have an eighth variant coloured in grey.
- No such texture or icon remains in the game files however, which would mean that the variant was scrapped at some point in Contact's development.
