CMMG is a firearms manufacturer based in the United States.[1]
Background[]
Headquartered in the U.S. state of Missouri, CMMG is best known for designing the MX, a modular rifle chambered exclusively for the caseless 6.5×39 mm NATO cartridge.[2][3][4]
Having replaced the Mk16/Mk17 rifle family since its official adoption, CMMG continues to supply all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces well into the 2030s and beyond.[4] Outside of the U.S., the MX has seen (albeit limited) market success with some British special operations units[5] and mercenary organisations[6] adopting the platform.
Aside from firearms, CMMG sells novelty, ready-to-eat preserved food products in the form of its canned Tactical Bacon (shortened to "TacBac").[7] Additionally, enthusiasts can purchase branded baseball-style caps with an embroidery of CMMG's logo on the front.[8]
