The CRRC (full name: Combat Rubber Raiding Craft[1]) is an inflatable rubber boat featured in ArmA: Armed Assault and ArmA 2.
ArmA: Armed Assault[]
The CRRC is used by both U.S. Army and RACS military forces in ArmA: Armed Assault.

Design[]
Designed to be air transportable, the CRRC is a small inflatable boat that is intended to be used for over-the-horizon transportation, inserting armed raiding parties or reconnaissance teams onto beaches, piers, offshore facilities, and larger vessels.
Features
Compared to its SLA counterpart, the CRRC is a slightly better boat as it has enough room to carry a fourth passenger as opposed to only three (not including the driver).[A1CfgV 1] However, in all other aspects the CRRC is practically identical to the PBX and similarly lacks armour plating, which leaves its crew vulnerable to enemy fire.
Mobility
The CRRC is only slower than the PBX Boat by just 1 km/h (~ 69 km/h as opposed to the PBX Boat's ~ 70 km/h). Both are virtually identical to each other handling-wise and there is no difference in turn rate or acceleration.
Crew Capacity
CRRCs can carry both the boat driver and up to four passengers.[A1CfgV 1]
Protection[]
CRRCs have a base armour value of 20.[A1CfgV 3]
Engine[]
The engine can take a maximum of 24 points of damage before it suffers from failure.[A1CfgV 4][Formula 1] 100% of incoming damage will always be shared with the CRRC's main "health" pool.[A1CfgV 5]
AI[]
NOTE: The following information only applies to the AI.
Camouflage rating[]
- Main article: AI Basics: Detection
The CRRC has a camouflage[2] rating of 2.[A1CfgV 6]
Cost[]
- Main article: AI Basics: Targeting priority
The CRRC has a cost[3] value of 10000.[A1CfgV 7]
Threat values[]
- Main article: AI Basics: Targeting priority
The CRRC is considered to be a low-risk threat[4] to AI-controlled infantry units and ground vehicles (0.2/0.2).[A1CfgV 8]
Aircraft on the other hand, consider the CRRC to be a very low risk threat (0.1). They will not attack the CRRC unless there are no other more viable targets within range.[A1CfgV 8]
Noise factor[]
- Main article: AI Basics: Detection
The CRRC has an audible[5] factor of 6.[A1CfgV 9]
Trivia[]
- The release of Patch 1.02 fixed numerous bugs for Armed Assault's CRRC:[6]
- CRRCs were partially amphibious and could "swim" while on land until the driver stopped.
- Wrecked CRRCs would sink into the terrain if they were destroyed while they were on land.
- It was not possible to use the mouse to look around with the camera in either first or third person view whilst the CRRC was being driven with the player's keyboard.

ArmA 2[]
The CRRC is used exclusively by the U.S. Marines in ArmA 2.

Design[]
The CRRC returns in ArmA 2, fulfilling the same role as a fast waterborne scout and special operations transport.
Features
Exclusively operated by the U.S. Marine Corps, the CRRC is one of the faster boats in ArmA 2. Unlike in Armed Assault, ArmA 2's CRRC is still limited to a maximum troop capacity of four[A2CfgV 1] but it gains the ability to store weapons and ammunition properly[A2CfgV 2][A2CfgV 3], allowing its driver (and passengers) to properly utilise it as a waterborne supply vessel if needed.
Mobility
Just like in Armed Assault, ArmA 2's CRRC is slightly slower than its Russian counterpart, the PBX. The difference is very minor however, and aside from speed the CRRC's handling is practically identical to the PBX in every other aspect (turn rates, braking distance, etc.).
Crew Capacity
The CRRC contains enough space to carry the driver and up to four passengers at a time.[A2CfgV 1]
Protection[]
The CRRC has a base armour value of 20.[A2CfgV 6]
Engine[]
The engine can take a maximum of 24 points of damage before it suffers from failure.[A2CfgV 7][Formula 2] 100% of incoming damage will always be shared with the CRRC's main "health" pool.[A2CfgV 8]
Defensive sensors[]
The CRRC is not equipped with defensive sensors. No warning will be issued to the boat's crew if there are guided weapons/projectiles that are attempting to lock onto it.[A2CfgV 9][A2CfgV 10]

Trivia[]
- ArmA 2's CRRC simply reuses an updated port of the same model from Armed Assault.
- Despite being able to do so in real-life, in-game CRRCs cannot be loaded or undeployed from the USS Khe Sanh due to the latter's well dock being inaccessible.
- Prior to Patch 1.03 for ArmA 2 (pre-Operation Arrowhead), grenades that exploded after they landed onto any part of the CRRC would emit the wrong kind of particle effects.[7]
- When ArmA 2 was first launched, the CRRC (like all other watercraft) would consume excessive amounts of bandwidth and server CPU power in an online multiplayer environment (this did not apply to CRRCs in offline singleplayer). This was eventually corrected by the release of Patch 1.04.[8]

Notes[]
- ↑ The Armed Assault CRRC does not have the ability to store weapons and ammunition. It is possible to take items out of the CRRC but they cannot be placed back into the boat's inventory as it does not have enough slots to support them (both the transportMaxMagazines and transportMaxWeapons config tokens are set to a value of zero).
