The CTRG Plate Carrier Rig Mk.1 is a ballistic-resistant vest worn by CTRG operatives in ArmA 3.
Overview[]
Adorned with an arid-themed snakeskin camouflage pattern, the Plate Carrier Rig Mk.1 is exclusively worn by the operatives of NATO's elite CTRG teams. It has a weight of 80 "mass" units[CfgWp 1] and provides enough space for up to 140 units worth of ammunition/items.[CfgWp 2]
The Plate Carrier Rig Mk.1 is statistically identical to the Carrier Lite. Rated at Level III protection standards, the plate inserts cover the wearer's chest, diaphragm and abdomen from gunfire. The vest will allow the wearer to consistently survive being shot at point blank range by a 7.62 mm DMR bullet (provided that they are at or near full "health").
Like the Carrier Lite, the Plate Carrier Rig Mk.1 faces the same issue of having only slightly above average surface coverage of the wearer's torso. Similarly, a lack of shoulder/pelvic guards also renders the Plate Carrier Rig Mk.1 relatively useless for surviving explosions.

Trivia[]
- The Mk.1 was not added until the release of the campaign's first episode.[1]
- Despite clearly being one of the two standard-issue vests worn by Group 14 operatives, Group 15 strangely does not have access to a tropical-themed version suited for the jungles of Tanoa (they instead wear Ranger Green-coloured Carrier Lites with the flag patch removed).
