Armored fighting vehicles

This is the parent category for all armoured fighting vehicles featured throughout the ARMA series.

An armoured fighting vehicle (AFV for short) is a combat vehicle that is always protected by strong armour and armed with heavy weapons.

Prime examples include Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) and Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs), which usually combine smoothbore tank cannons and large-calibre autocannons with thick armour plating.
