Arma3-promet-00

The Promet bullpup family, featured in ArmA 3: Contact.

This category specifically lists all of the main articles for modular weapon platforms featured throughout the ARMA series.

For a weapon to fall into this category, it must:

  • Feature one or more variants that are designed for different infantry roles.
    • An example of this is the XM8 from ArmA 2; it features a long-barrelled designated marksman rifle (DMR) model that is meant to be carried by sharpshooters, as well as another light support weapon (LSW) variant for automatic riflemen.
  • Have more than just a carbine or underbarrel grenade launcher-equipped configuration. A rifle like the Katiba bullpup in ArmA 3 does not count for this reason since it isn't a true modular weapon.
    • Likewise, the ability to load different ammunition calibres does not qualify a weapon to fall into this category either. The CZ 805 BREN (also from ArmA 2) for example has a unique variant that is chambered to fire 7.62 mm NATO ammunition; role-wise, this variant is still just a battle rifle.

Individual sub-pages for each variant are not included here. To see the specific variant of each modular weapon family, refer to the Variants section on each article.
