The Czech Vest Pouch is a BLUFOR backpack used exclusively by Czech military forces in ArmA 2. It was added with the release of the Operation Arrowhead expansion pack.
Overview[]
The smallest backpack in ArmA 2, the Czech Vest Pouch only has a maximum capacity of six inventory slots and cannot store firearms.[CfgVh 1]
Primarily carried by Czech special operations units, the Vest Pouch can be considered to be an even more compact version of the U.S. Army's Assault Pack. It roughly serves in the same role and can store several rifle magazines or UGL rounds.
The main upside to it stems from the Vest Pouch's small profile. Since its overall dimensions are less than half the size of the Assault Pack, it will not enlarge the wearer's silhouette from afar. However, in all other aspects the Vest Pouch is inferior to all other backpacks due to its lack of camouflage variety, which limits its use to woodland/jungle terrains only. The Vest Pouch should only be worn if there are no better alternatives available.
Trivia[]
- The Vest Pouch is amusingly capable of storing a single missile for both the FGM-148 Javelin/9K115 Metis-M ATGM launchers; despite the pouch itself clearly being too small to be able to fit either one.
- Like the bigger Czech Backpack ruck, the Vest Pouch lacks a desert-camouflaged version that would be suitable for use in Takistan's arid environment.
