Deserter Clothes are uniforms worn by criminals and rogue militias in ArmA 3. They were added with the release of the Contact DLC.

Overview[]

This asset partially requires the Contact expansion pack.

These outfits are worn by former Livonian Defense Force personnel who have abandoned their duties in favour of joining local criminal gangs and extremist anti-Russian militias.[2]

It is available in either a jacket or t-shirt variety. The jacket outfit is camouflaged in the LDF's distinctive Geometric pattern and provides the wearer with a pair of combat gloves and khaki pants. The t-shirt variant is also camouflaged, though only the pants are camouflaged as the shirt itself is coloured in olive green.

Both weigh the same (40 "mass" units).[CfgWp 1][CfgWp 2] They provide enough space for up to 40 units worth of ammunition/items.[CfgWp 3][CfgWp 4] Neither of them offers enhanced protection to small arms projectiles and explosives.

Camouflage[]

Trivia[]

  • Only the Jacket variant is considered to be premium content that necessitates ownership of the Contact expansion. The T-Shirt variant, being a retextured Guerilla Garment with the arm bandage hidden, does not require the DLC to wear.[3]
  • Although they can be freely used in the editor and Virtual Arsenal, neither of the two outfits are actually worn by Livonian looter units outside of the non-canon First Contact campaign.
    • However, the sub-faction along with its associated deserter/militia units and placeable groups does exist in the campaign. They can be openly seen wearing both uniforms throughout the course of First Contact.[4]
