Doška was a Czechoslovak automotive manufacturer.[1]
Background[]
Originally based in the former Czechoslovakia, Doška was the manufacturer of the S1203[2], a minibus that was first sold in 1968. Although S1203s are well-known for their affordability and spacious interior, the minibus was criticised for possessing a weak engine and having an unreliable transmission.[1] The company was eventually succeeded by the Chernarus-based company, Šárka.[3]
Despite its age and lack of modern creature comforts, Doška's S1203 remains in use worldwide. In 1989, S1203s (now manufactured by Šárka) were a common sight on the streets of the Everon Socialist Republic.[3] As recently as the early 2010s, S1203s were still being driven by citizens in the Green Sea region nation of Takistan. Some S1203s have been retrofitted into ambulances and are primarily utilised by Takistani emergency services.[4]

- Doška is a parody of "Škoda Auto a.s.", a Czech automotive company that (previously) manufactured the real-world "Škoda 1203" minibus.
- The company originally debuted in ArmA 2's Operation Arrowhead expansion and would return (indirectly) in Reforger due to the S1203's reappearance. However, Reforger's iteration of the S1203 would replace Doška as the vehicle's manufacturer, having since been "succeeded" (in-universe) by the Chernarussian car manufacturer, Šárka.[3]
- For unknown reasons, the in-game Armoury Description for ArmA 2's iteration of the S1203 inconsistently refers to the vehicle by its real-world name instead of its fictitious Armaverse name.[1]
