Entrenching Tool

Entrenching Tools are construction tools in ARMA Reforger.

Entrenching Tools are used to construct any defences and/or support structures set down at a Command Post or dedicated construction truck (M923A1s/Ural-4320s).

When equipped, any buildable structures in the vicinity of the user (within 25 metres) will immediately appear as white 3D silhouettes. The user can then approach the centre of the structure and use the BUILD action to begin the construction process. Once the structure has been built, the user can also choose to disassemble the structure (via the DISASSEMBLY action). This will refund any Supplies that were used to build it back to the Command Post or truck's supply pool.

Alternately, it is possible to cancel the placement of a structure before it even gets built by selecting the DISASSEMBLY action rather than BUILD. This will similarly return any supplies that were reserved for the proposed structure back to the Command Post/truck's supply pool.

It should be noted that Entrenching Tools are not considered to be weapons and cannot be used for melee attacks. In addition, they cannot be used to build fortifications/structures out in the field. Only those placed via Building Mode at a Command Post or a dedicated construction truck can be built, and assuming that there are enough Supplies to set one down in the first place.

Used by both Soviet military forces and FIA guerillas. It has a weight of 0.8 kg, occupies a 1x1 inventory slot, and has a volume of 100 cm3.

• Entrenching Tools were not originally available in the Early Access and were only added to the game after the official Update 1.0 patch.
