The Fero Z-24 is a low-powered riflescope used by both West German and Danish military forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Design[]
The Fero Z-24 is primarily utilised by West German/Danish marksmen and special operations units.
Although its mounting system is intended for the G3 series of 7.62 mm-chambered battle rifles, it can also be mounted onto certain 9 mm submachine guns:
- G3A3/G3A4 battle rifle (7.62 mm)
- GV M/75/GV M/75 Carbine battle rifle (7.62 mm)
- SG5A2/SG5A3 submachine guns (9 mm)
The reticle is composed of a main chevron, representing the main aiming point, flanked by two horizontal lines with one on each side.
It has a minimum zeroing range of 100 m, which can be further adjusted in 100 m increments up to a maximum of 600 m. For close quarters, the scope also allows the user to switch to the rifle's iron sights but with the same zeroing range limits of the scope itself (400 m maximum).
Compared to its Warsaw Pact counterpart, the Fero Z-24 has a much smaller zeroing range, rendering engagements beyond 400 metres difficult or outright impossible.
However, unlike the PSO-1 the user has the ability to switch to the rifle's ironsight which makes sudden close range engagements easier. The only drawback of this is the scope's relatively limited usefulness, as the scope mount is quite bulky and mostly obstructs the user's view.

- Tan: Bright desert tan paint finish.

- The Fero Z-24 is modelled after the real-world Hensoldt Zeiss "ZF 4x24 Fero Z24" riflescope.
- It was originally exclusive to the G3 battle rifle but was later made compatible with the SG5A2 submachine gun and its derivatives following the release of Update 1.2.[1]
