« Often used by military and police, the G19 is a polymer-framed, short recoil-operated, semi-automatic pistol designed and produced in Austria. Special Forces operating overseas have been known to upgrade their pistols with custom-made auto switches that allow the weapon to operate in both semi-automatic and automatic firing modes. However, modifications like these are illegal in most countries and can carry high fines and even prison sentences.

The G19 is a 9 mm handgun used exclusively by the Tanoan Gendarmerie in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Reaction Forces Creator DLC.

Overview[]

This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.

The G19 is a polymer-framed, short recoil-operated semi-automatic pistol that is chambered to fire the 9×19 mm cartridge.

It can load either 17- or 33-round box magazines, as well as 65-round drums. It can attain a fire rate of up to 500 rounds per minute[CfgWp 6][Formula 1] with a muzzle velocity of 410 m/s.[CfgWp 7]

G19s support being fitted with an unmagnified reflex sight[CfgWp 8] as well as a flashlight/laser pointer.[CfgWp 9] The muzzle also allows for a 9 mm sound suppressor to be attached.[CfgWp 10]

Variants[]

G19A[]

The G19A 9 mm handgun.
The G19A 9 mm handgun.

The G19A is a customised variant of the G19 that allows for fully automatic fire. It is primarily used by NATO Quick Reaction Force (QRF) units and in limited numbers with FIA guerillas.

Unlike baseline G19 pistols that are restricted to firing on semi-auto, the G19A uniquely features the ability to toggle a full auto firemode.[CfgWp 17] When firing on full auto, the G19A can attain an impressive fire rate of up to 1,000 RPM.[CfgWp 18][Formula 2] However, aside from this change, the G19A remains statistically identical to unmodified G19s.

Ironsights[]

Arma3-rfg19-ironsight-overview
The G19's ironsights are set to a fixed zeroing of 50 metres.[CfgWp 19] This cannot be manually adjusted. Its front and rear sights are illuminated and will glow green both in daylight and under low-light conditions.

The G19A's ironsights are set to a fixed zeroing of 50 metres.[CfgWp 20] It is not possible to manually adjust zeroing on the G19A's ironsights. Its front/rear sights are fully illuminated and will glow green regardless of ambient lighting conditions.

Camouflage[]

  • Black: All-black slide and frame colour scheme.

Both variants of the G19 pistol have access to three main types of magazines with a maximum capacity of 17-, 33- or 65-rounds.[CfgWp 21][CfgWp 22] Each of these three magazine types are further broken down into sub-variants that may or may not contain visible tracer rounds as part of their loadout:

  • 17-round magazines have four sub-variants total: the stock 17-round magazine and three that have a mix of ball and visible tracer ammunition. This magazine does not have alternate camouflage schemes (only Black is available).
  • 33-round high-capacity magazines have twelve sub-variants total: the default 33-round magazine with no tracers and three that have a mix of ball and visible tracer ammunition. 33-rounder magazines are specifically available in three camouflage schemes (Black/Sand/Olive).
  • 65-round drum magazines are available in four sub-variants: the default 65-round drum that has no tracers loaded and three that contain a mix of ball and tracer ammunition. No alternate camouflage schemes are available for this magazine type (it is only available in Black).

Trivia[]

  • Reaction Forces' G19 appears to be loosely modelled after the "Glock 19X" crossover pistol designed by Austrian firearms manufacturer Glock Ges.m.b.H.[1]
  • Prior to Update 1.0.1, the G19's 65-rounder drum magazines inconsistently had a velocity of 370 m/s rather than 410 m/s like the rest of its magazines. This was corrected by the patch so that all of the G19's magazines now share the same velocity of 410 m/s.[2]

  1. 60 / reloadTime = 60 / 0.12
  2. 60 / reloadTime = 60 / 0.06
  3. initSpeed * caliber * 15 / 1000 = 410 * 1.2 * 15 / 1000
  4. initSpeed * caliber * 15 / 1000 = 410 * 1.2 * 15 / 1000
  5. initSpeed * caliber * 15 / 1000 = 410 * 1.2 * 15 / 1000
  6. initSpeed * caliber * 15 / 1000 = 410 * 1.2 * 15 / 1000

Notes[]

  1. Not used by Old Man (2038)-era Gendarmerie units on REDFOR.
  2. If the Western Sahara DLC is activated at the same time with Reaction Forces, the G19A will specifically be used by the desert CTRG faction's sharpshooter unit. This unit class only exists if Reaction Forces is run simultaneously with Western Sahara (it will not exist in the editor/Zeus Curator without the latter).
  3. 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 Damage will be reduced if the projectile's velocity drops below this value.
