The GV M/95 is a 5.56 mm assault rifle used exclusively by Danish military forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The GV M/95 is a selective-fire assault rifle that is chambered to fire the 5.56×45 mm NATO round. It uses a direct impingement gas operation.
It feeds primarily from 30-round STANAG magazines but can also load 20-round box magazines used by the M16A1. It can attain a fire rate of up to ~ 652 when firing on semi-auto[CfgWp 7][Formula 1] or up to 800 RPM on full auto.[CfgWp 8][Formula 2] The GV M/95 has a muzzle velocity of 960 m/s.[CfgWp 9][Formula 3][note 1]
The GV M/95 supports a variety of Picatinny-compatible optical sights on its top rail as well IR/visible laser pointers and flashlights.[CfgWp 10] Additionally, its muzzle can also be fitted with a 5.56 mm sound suppressor.[CfgWp 11] However, it is not possible to have both a flashlight/laser pointer mounted at the same time with an optic, nor is it possible to have bayonets or bipods attached.
Ironsights[]

The GV M/95's ironsights can be manually zeroed starting at a minimum of 100 metres up to a maximum of 400 metres (100, 200, 300, 400).[CfgWp 12] By default, it uses a zeroing of 300 metres.[CfgWp 13]
If an optical sight with a zeroing limit greater than 400 metres is fitted, the GV M/95 will permit a maximum zeroing of 800 metres.[CfgWp 14]
Ammunition[]
NOTE: The GV M/95 is capable of loading the same magazines utilised by non-Global Mobilization 5.56 mm-chambered weapons. To minimise clutter, they are deliberately excluded from this section.

The GV M/95 can load up to eight types of magazines that are fully interchangeable with all AR15-type assault rifles (M16A1/M16A2/C7A1).[CfgWp 15] The 30-rounder STANAGs have a weight of 12.2444 "mass" units[CfgMa 11][CfgMa 12] while the older, lower capacity 20-round box magazines weigh 7.77778 "mass" units instead.[CfgMa 13][CfgMa 14]
It should be noted that even though these magazines are all loaded with 5.56 mm ammunition, none of them are interchangeable with the G36, G33, or the SG550:

NOTE: The following table includes magazines from the base game that can also be loaded into the GV M/95 whilst the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC is activated.
It should be noted that magazines from other Creator DLCs that share access to the same pool of magazines (Classnames: STANAG_556x45 / STANAG_556x45_Large) can also be loaded into the GV M/95. However, those Creator DLCs must be loaded simultaneously alongside Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany in order for them to appear as selectable options in the Virtual Arsenal. |
Trivia[]
- The GV M/95 was only added after Update 1.1 and was not actually available upon Global Mobilization's release.[1]
- Prior to Update 1.4, the GV M/95 could not load the Apex expansion pack's 150-round drum magazines. The update subsequently corrected this issue and now allows mission makers to equip units with the drum magazines.[2]
- The patch also included two magazines loaded with older M196 tracer ammunition. Previously, magazines loaded with M196 rounds did not exist and could not be loaded into the GV M/95.[2]
- Update 1.6 corrected issues with the GV M95's range limits and dispersion values for the AI. Before the patch's release, AI units equipped with GV M/95s shared the same dispersion values with human players, allowing them to hit targets with pinpoint accuracy at any distance.[3]
