« Manufactured by HADES Arms Inc. in Germany, the H6 is a modern and easy-to-handle repeating rifle chambered for 5.56 mm rounds. Although traditionally used for sports shooting, the illegal arms trade has introduced the H6 into various conflict zones as a cheap and ultra-lightweight alternative to heavier marksman rifles. Of particular note is the side-loaded magazine, allowing for more options in terms of weapon resting and stability.

The HADES H6 5.56 mm marksman rifle.

The HADES H6 is a 5.56 mm marksman rifle used by both NATO Quick Reaction Force (QRF) units and FIA scouts in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Reaction Forces Creator DLC.

Overview[]

This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.

The HADES H6 is a bolt-action marksman rifle that is chambered to fire the 5.56×45 mm NATO cartridge.

It can load a myriad of 5.56 mm magazines, ranging from 30-round STANAGs used by other 5.56 mm-chambered assault rifles to its own unique polymer magazines that are available in capacities of the 10-, 20- or 30-round variety. The HADES H6 can attain a fire rate of only ~ 33 rounds per minute[CfgWp 6][Formula 1] and has a muzzle velocity of 920 m/s.[CfgMa 4][note 1]

The HADES H6's rails allow for optical sights[CfgWp 7], flashlights/laser sights[CfgWp 8], and bipods[CfgWp 9] to be attached. Its muzzle can also be suppressed with a 5.56 mm sound suppressor if necessary.[CfgWp 10]

Ironsights[]

Arma3-rfhadesh6-ironsight-overview

Ironsights on the HADES H6 can be manually zeroed from a minimum of 100 metres up to a maximum of 600 metres (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600).[CfgWp 11] By default, they are set to a zeroing of 200 metres.[CfgWp 12] Neither the front nor rear sight are illuminated.

Note that if an optic with a zeroing limit greater than 600 metres is fitted (e.g. LRPS), the HADES H6 will only permit an absolute maximum zeroing of 1,600 metres.[CfgWp 13]

Camouflage[]

  • Black: All-black colour scheme.
  • Digital: Digitised semi-fractal camouflage pattern with a black cheek rest, rails and handguard.
  • Gold: Black stock with a gold-plated handguard and rails.
  • Olive: Olive colour scheme with a black cheek rest, rails and handguard.
  • Sand: Desert tan colour scheme with a black cheek rest, rails and handguard.

Ammunition[]

NOTE: All of the HADES H6's polymer magazines are fully interchangeable with the XMS family of assault rifles from the Western Sahara Creator DLC. However, although they are similarly chambered to fire 5.56 mm, Western Sahara's Velko R4s/R5s are unable to load the HADES H6's magazines.

The HADES H6 has access to three main types of magazines with a maximum capacity of 10-, 20- or 30-rounds.[CfgWp 14] Each of these three magazine types are further broken down into sub-variants that may or may not contain visible tracer rounds as part of their loadout:

  • There are nine sub-variants of the 10-round magazines. They are only loaded with armour-piercing ammunition (none of the rounds fired will consist of 5.56 mm ball). 10-rounder magazines are available in three camouflage schemes: Black, Olive and Sand.
  • Nine sub-variants of the 20-rounder magazines exist. They are also only loaded with AP ammunition and do not contain 5.56 mm ball. 20-rounder magazines are similarly available in three camouflage schemes (Black/Olive/Sand).
  • 30-rounder magazines are split into two categories:
    • The HADES H6's 30-round polymer magazines are available in up to nine sub-variants. These magazines are exclusively loaded with AP ammunition and do not contain 5.56 mm ball. Three camouflage schemes are available for this magazine type (Black/Olive/Sand).
    • STANAG magazines are available in up to twelve sub-variants. These magazines do not contain AP rounds and are instead loaded with a mix of 5.56 mm ball and/or tracer (in some cases, exclusively with tracers depending on the magazine's loadout). Only two camouflage schemes are available to 30-round STANAGs (Black and Sand).

It should be noted that although the HADES H6's magazines are fully interchangeable with all 5.56 mm assault rifles and carbines, it is not capable of feeding from 5.56 mm drum magazines.

Trivia[]

  • The HADES H6 is modelled after the real-world German/Austrian-made "HERA H6 Rifle" designed by HERA GmbH Germany and VOERE Präzisionstechnik Austria.[1]
  • Before Update 1.0.1's release, the HADES H6 could not be stowed inside a backpack as it was classified as a "long" rifle like most marksman rifles. The patch would subsequently change this to allow for the user to store the rifle into a backpack.[2]
  • After Update 1.0.2's release, the weight of the HADES H6's AP magazines was slightly adjusted. 10-rounder magazines were reduced in weight whilst the weight of its proprietary 30-round magazines was increased.[3]

Formulae

  1. 60 / reloadTime = 60 / 1.8
  2. initSpeed * caliber * 15 / 1000 = 920 * 1.6 * 15 / 1000
  3. initSpeed * caliber * 15 / 1000 = 920 * 0.869565 * 15 / 1000
  4. initSpeed * caliber * 15 / 1000 = 920 * 0.869565 * 15 / 1000

Notes[]

  1. The HADES H6's initSpeed value is set to zero. Its muzzle velocity is determined by the loaded magazine rather than the weapon itself.
  2. 2.0 2.1 2.2 Damage will be reduced if the projectile's velocity drops below this value.
