« | The HD Pistol is an excellent close-range counter-insurgency weapon with very high accuracy and an effective integral suppressor. It is chambered in .22 Long Rifle, supplied in 10-round magazines. Widely used by LRRP, CIA, SOG and other Special Forces in missions including guard dog suppression, suppression of personnel during prisoner snatches, assassination of target-specific military and political cadre, and also behind-enemy-lines, in hunting for food. Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The HD is a semi-automatic pistol that uses a simple blowback action operation and single action trigger. It is chambered to fire the .22 LR round.
It feeds exclusively from 10-round magazines, and can attain a fire rate of up to 600 rounds per minute[CfgWp 7][Formula 1] with a muzzle velocity of 450 m/s.[CfgWp 8] The HD cannot be fitted with optical sights but does feature an integral suppressor.[CfgAm 1][CfgAm 2] It has an effective firing range of no more than 50 metres.
Ironsights[]

It is not possible to manually adjust zeroing on the HD. It utilises a fixed zeroing of 50 metres.[CfgWp 9]

Trivia[]
- Unlike the Welrod, the HD isn't carried by any of the in-game MACV units by default.
- Update 1.2 fixed a minor visual issue with its reloading animation. This visual glitch would only appear if it was reloaded while the pistol's magazine was empty.[1]

Notes[]
- ↑ Only applies to the magazine itself. The HD's weapon class uses its own initSpeed value (450 m/s).
- ↑ This is the HD's actual muzzle velocity. The weapon class initSpeed value (450 m/s) takes precedence over the magazine initSpeed value (380 m/s).
- ↑ Damage will be reduced if the projectile's velocity drops below this value.
- ↑ This is the actual penetration depth of the HD's .22 LR ammunition. The weapon class initSpeed value (450 m/s) takes precedence over the magazine initSpeed value (380 m/s), affecting its penetration formula as a result.
