The Helmet TSH3 is a wearable hat used by several REDFOR factions in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the S.O.G. Prairie Fire Creator DLC.
Overview[]
The TSH3 is a tanker helmet of Soviet origin. It is primarily worn by the armoured vehicle crews of the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN), the Pathet Lao, and the Khmer Rouge.
It is available in two variants: the standalone helmet, and a second that has a pair of crew goggles strapped to it. No matter the variant, both share the same weight of 10 "mass" units.[CfgWp 1][CfgWp 2]
The TSH3 has a base armour value of 2[CfgWp 3][CfgWp 4] with a 50% damage reduction modifier.[CfgWp 5][CfgWp 6] However, it is mainly intended to protect the wearer from indirect explosions rather than gunfire and as such, is completely ineffective at safeguarding the wearer from small arms projectiles. Even a non-point blank 9 mm pistol bullet (at sharply reduced velocities) will outright kill the wearer at any distance.
