The International Disaster Relief Organisation (short form: IDRO) is a Non-Government Organisation in ArmA 3.

Background[]

The IDRO provides shelter to civilians rendered homeless by natural disasters and conflicts throughout the globe.

History[]

2035[]

Following the South Pacific Disaster, the IDRO appealed to the international community to work together in responding to the crisis, rather than offering aid to affected countries along politically motivated partisan lines.[1]

Trivia[]

  • A dossier on the IDRO is unusually highlighted on CTRG's internal network.[2] It is unclear as to whether the NGO has ties to the secretive organisation or is alternately the subject of their scrutiny for unknown reasons.
  • The NGO's name appears to be a reused concept from the development phase of ArmA 3's Laws of War DLC. When the DLC's International Development & Aid Project (IDAP) faction was being concepted, "IDRO" can be seen listed amongst one of the many early concepts for the IDAP before the developers settled on its final logo and name.[3]
