The Jacket and Shorts outfit is a uniform worn by civilians in ArmA 3.

Overview[]

A simple outfit that combines a leather jacket worn over a faded white shirt. It is accompanied by a pair of bright red-coloured shorts with a teal-coloured leaf pattern.

The outfit has a weight of 10 "mass" units[CfgWp 1] and provides enough space for up to 20 units worth of ammunition/items.[CfgWp 2] It does not protect the wearer from ballistic projectiles or explosion damage.

Camouflage[]

Trivia[]

  • Due to it not being included amongst the list of civilian outfits, the Jacket and Shorts is considered to be an illegal uniform in the Old Man mini-campaign/scenario.[1] If worn, CSAT soldiers and Gendarmerie police officers will open fire on the player even though it is clearly civilian clothing.[2]
The information below details unused, pre-release or removed content.
  • The uniform was intended to serve as Orestes' outfit until the campaign's settings and backstory were eventually changed (as a result of ArmA 3's major development overhaul in 2012).[3]
    • His original civilian unit (Classname: C_Orestes) can still be accessed and placed in the editor but is never actually utilised at any point in the main campaign.[4]
