Geography

Map of the GSR. Karzeghistan is located to the south of Takistan.
Karzeghistan is a coastal nation that lies to the south of Takistan and east of Ardistan. Its landscape is diverse, ranging from dry deserts in the west and north-west to semi-arid plateaus in the south and east.[1]
The country's capital is the city of Mazargan, which is situated along the Green Sea coastline. Two freshwater rivers - originating from the highlands in Ardistan, supply water to much of the country's citizens.[1]
Shapur
- Main article: Shapur
Shapur e-Dalanper is a tiny yet strategically vital region with pockets of densely developed settlements and industrial complexes. It is located along the disputed border with Takistan in the north, running along parts of the Sharig Plateau.[5]
Politics
Diplomacy
Successive Karzeghi governments have shared a hostile relationship with their counterparts in the north.[6] Tensions reached their peak in June 2012 when Takistani leader, Colonel Muhammad Aziz, threatened to launch ballistic missiles into Karzeghistan[7] if control of Shapur was not ceded to Takistan.[8][9][10]
Since then, Mazargan has held close ties with the NATO alliance.[10][11] British, Czech, and German forces have established a military presence in the country to provide security against continued incursions by the Takistani military.[7][12][13][14]
The country's diplomatic alignment to either the East or the West, as of 2035, is not known.
