The LMG K 500 is a 7.62 mm assault rifle that remains unused by any faction in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The LMG K 500 is an East German derivative of the Soviet AKM assault rifle.
It can load all 7.62 mm AK magazines, whether that be East German-made MPiKM-type magazines (used by MPi KM-72s) or Soviet AK47-type magazines (shared with Polish AKMs and RPKs). It has a muzzle velocity of 715 m/s and is able to attain a fire rate of up to 600 rounds per minute.
LMG K 500s feature an integral folding bipod that can be deployed for better stability during fully automatic fire. The LMG K 500 is also able to mount all Dovetail-compatible optical sights; including IR/visible laser pointers in place of an optic. A dedicated AK-type suppressor can be fitted onto the muzzle, whilst the user can also choose to "attach" a flashlight onto the handguard using duct tape.
Variants[]
LMG K 500 S[]

The LMG K 500 S is simply a modified LMG K 500 rifle that uses a folding wire stock instead.
The replacement of the full-length stock results in a slight weight reduction to the LMG K 500 S compared to its parent rifle. Both statistically and functionally, the LMG K 500 S remains unchanged in all other aspects.
Ironsights[]

By default, the LMG K 500 is set to a zeroing of 200 metres. However, it is possible to manually set this to 330 metres instead by adjusting it to below 100 metres (the rifle's zeroing will automatically jump to 330 metres upon doing this).

Camouflage[]
- Brown: Black finish with light brown furniture and stock.
- Black: All-black finish used for both its furniture and stock.
- Plum: Black finish with plum-coloured furniture and stock.
Ammunition[]
NOTE: The LMG K 500 is capable of loading the same magazines utilised by non-Global Mobilization 7.62 mm-chambered weapons. To minimise clutter, they are deliberately excluded from this section.

LMG K 500s have access to two unique families of magazines that are compatible with all 7.62 mm-chambered AK-pattern assault rifles and light machine guns. Capacities are limited to either 30-rounder magazines (which have a weight of 12.2444 "mass" units) or 75-round drums (weighing 18.3556 "mass" units).
The texture schemes for each magazine type varies depending on its country of origin. For East German MPiKM-type magazines, they are restricted to Parkerized magazines only. Soviet-made AK47-type magazines on the other hand, have access to Blued, Parkerized, Orange, and Black schemes. The 75-rounder drums are the exception to this, as both AK47 and MPiKM drums are limited to only one type of texture (Blued for AK47s, Parkerized for MPiKMs):
