The capital city of Malden, La Trinité is named after its three churches.[1] It is the largest settlement on the island and lies between the towns of Dourdan to its south and Saint Louis in the north.
The city is surrounded by vineyards that cover more than half of the surrounding area. The nearby forests, particularly concentrated at the base of Le Roi to its east, also make La Trinité an important source of raw materials for the rest of the island.
History[]
On July 24th, 2035[2], North African forces as part of the CSAT alliance's Scimitar Regiment assembled a large counterattack force comprised of tanks and mechanised infantry at La Trinité. They were mobilised after U.S.-led NATOtroops had captured Dourdan several minutes beforehand.[3][4]
Initially, NATO forces at Dourdan were unaware of the impending attack, but the interrogation of a CSAT officer by U.S. recon operatives[5] ensured that NATO command could arrange for fire support assets to be dispatched in time.[6]

Upon their arrival, the drones successfully destroyed many of the tanks[7], effectively blunting the counterattack and eliminating the bulk of the Regiment's main force.[8][9]
After their defeat at Dourdan, the remnants of Scimitar Regiment issued their intent to surrender unconditionally to the NATO task force. U.S. troops would subsequently secure the remaining North African personnel at La Trinité.[8][9] With their victory, NATO air superiority over the Straits of Gibraltar was ensured, and the U.S. Navy's 6th Fleet could now proceed with their primary mission.[10]

Notably, the third (and smallest) church at grid 070-080 has its own cemetery and is built next to a privately-owned vineyard.

A lumber mill is built on the outskirts of the city west of Le Roi. It can be accessed via the road that leads out of the city on the eastern side that passes through several vineyards.
