« | The Kulsprutepistol M/45, or Swedish K is a submachinegun designed in 1944. Chambered in 9x19mm and fedby a 36-round magazine it was used extensively by US Navy SEALs and SOG Recon Teams during the Vietnam War. It can be operated with a suppressed barrel and has a folding frame stock. When Sweden embargoed the export of weapons to the US in 1966, the design was copied to produce the M76. Field Manual

The M/45 Submachine Gun is a 9 mm submachine gun used exclusively by MACV-SOG forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the S.O.G. Prairie Fire Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The M/45 is a blowback-operated submachine gun with a round receiver, wooden pistol grip and large barrel shroud that is chambered to fire the 9×19 mm cartridge.
It loads from 36-round box magazines, and can attain a fire rate of approximately ~ 631 rounds per minute[CfgWp 7][Formula 1] with a muzzle velocity of 425 m/s.[CfgWp 8] M/45s cannot be fitted with optics and their ironsights are restricted to a (non-adjustable) zeroing of 100 metres.[CfgWp 9] However, it is possible to attach a sound suppressor that is designed specifically for use on the M/45.[CfgWp 10]
Variants[]
M/45 Submachine Gun (Folded)[]

The Folded variant simply has the stock folded by default.
This change is mostly cosmetic and does not apply any significant functional or handling improvements to the weapon. The one and only real difference is when it comes to melee attacks, as it drains ~ 2% extra stamina whenever a buttstroke is performed due to the stock being folded.[CfgWp 16][Formula 2]
Ironsights[]

Melee[]
Melee attacks with the M/45 Submachine Gun (for both variants) involves striking targets with a buttstroke. Attacking in this manner can inflict a maximum of up to 7 points of damage if the buttstroke connects with the target.[CfgAm 1]
It should be noted that melee attacks cost stamina and will drain either 2.584 points of stamina (on the baseline M/45 with an unfolded stock)[Formula 3] or up to 2.66 points of stamina (for M/45s with folded stocks)[Formula 2] whenever a buttstroke is performed.[SCR 1]
Camouflage[]
- Black: Standard black finish with a wood grip.
- Camo:* Jungle stripe camouflage pattern.
(*) This camouflage scheme is not available to the Folded variant.

The M/45 can load two types of magazines.[CfgWp 18][CfgWp 19] Both magazine types share the same weight of 12[CfgMa 3] "mass" units:
36Rnd. M/45 Mag[]

36-round box magazine loaded with a mix of 9 mm ball and tracer ammunition.[CfgMa 4]
Every fourth round fired will emit a visible red tracer.[CfgMa 5] Only the last four rounds of the magazine consist exclusively of red tracers.[CfgMa 6]
36Rnd. M/45 Mag (Tracer)[]

Alternate magazine loaded with entirely with visible red tracer rounds.[CfgMa 7][CfgMa 8]

Notes[]
- ↑ Only applies to the magazine itself. The M/45 Submachine Gun's weapon class has its own initSpeed value defined which is also 425 m/s but the weapon's initSpeed takes precedence even though it has the same muzzle velocity value.
- ↑ Damage will be reduced if the projectile's velocity drops below this value.
