The M/45 is a blowback-operated submachine gun with a round receiver, wooden pistol grip and large barrel shroud that is chambered to fire the 9×19 mm cartridge.

This change is ''mostly'' cosmetic and does not apply any significant functional or handling improvements to the weapon.
