Overview[]

The MP2A1 is an open bolt, blowback-operated selective fire submachine gun chambered for the 9×19 mm round.
It loads from 32-round box magazines and can attain a fire rate of up to 750 rounds per minute.[CfgWp 7][Formula 1] It has a muzzle velocity of 400 m/s regardless of whether it is firing DM51[CfgMa 2], DM11[CfgMa 3], or DM91[CfgMa 4] 9 mm ammunition.[note 1]
Optical scopes cannot be attached onto the MP2A1, but it does support being fitted a claw-mount laser sight[CfgWp 8] and/or a dedicated 9 mm sound suppressor.[CfgWp 9] If the MP2A1 is not fitted with a laser sight, the ironsights will allow for manual zeroing; two presets of either 100 metres or 200 metres are available for this purpose.[CfgWp 10]
Ironsights[]

The MP2A1's ironsights can be manually zeroed. However, only two fixed range settings are available: 100 metres and 200 metres.[CfgWp 10] By default, the MP2A1 is set to a zeroing of 200 metres.[CfgWp 11]

9 mm 32Rnd MP2 Ball DM51 Black Mag[]

Standard 32-round box magazine loaded with a mix of DM51 ball and red tracer ammunition.[CfgMa 9]

Trivia[]
- Prior to Update 1.2, the MP2A1 was the first and only SMG-type weapon in Global Mobilization.
- The patch also significantly increased the MP2A1's fire rate from 500 to 750 RPM, though its muzzle velocity was simultaneously lowered to just 400 m/s.[1]
- At launch, the MP2A1 could only load two types of magazines (DM51/DM11). The third DM91-loaded magazine was only added after Update 1.3's release.[2]
- Prior to Update 1.5, the MP2A1 was exclusive to BLUFOR. The patch's release would remove its exclusivity status with the introduction of the Revolutionaries INDFOR faction.[3]
- The patch also added the ability to mount the (then-new) LS45 laser sight and a sound suppressor. However, the patch also increased its dispersion while making it identical for both semi-automatic and full auto fire modes.[3]
- Update 1.6 corrected several issues with the MP2A1's range limits and dispersion values for the AI. Previously, AI units wielding the MP2A1 shared the same dispersion values with human players, allowing them to hit targets with pinpoint accuracy at any distance.[4]
- In a Q&A video released by Vertexmacht's developers[5], the MP2A1 was stated to be "GalComT's" favourite SMG in the DLC.[6]
