The Marine Combat Uniform is an uniform worn by MJTF personnel in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Expeditionary Forces Creator DLC.

Overview

The Marine Combat Uniform is the standard-issue combat uniform worn by Marines of the MJTF. The baseline MCU comes in three variants: one without gloves, another with a pair of gloves, and a third that has both a pair of gloves and kneepads.

Regardless of style, all MCUs share the same weight of 40 "mass" units. The uniform's pockets provide enough storage space for up to 40 units worth of ammunition/items. No variant of the MCU provides the wearer with protection against damage from small arms fire or indirect explosions.

Rolled Up

The Rolled Up variant has the sleeves rolled up to the base of the wearer's elbows. It also has two additional style variants that feature a pair of gloves and/or kneepads.

Aside from these cosmetic changes, the Rolled Up variant is functionally and statistically identical to the baseline MCU outfit.

The Diver variant has a neoprene wetsuit worn under the MCU with rolled-up sleeves. It also features a pair of flippers that will automatically be equipped if the user is in or submerged underwater, allowing the wearer to swim and dive much more quickly.

Aside from this change, the MDU remains statistically identical to MCUs with rolled-up sleeves (weight of 40 "mass" units, storage capacity of 40 "mass" units).

Trivia

• The knife strapped to the wearer's leg on the Diver variant is purely cosmetic and cannot be used for melee attacks.
• The MCU's camouflage patterns are a slightly altered version of the real MARPAT camouflage used by the U.S. Marine Corps. However, because MARPAT is a patented design, the DLC utilises a customised derivative that lacks the embedded Eagle, Globe, and Anchor (EGA) symbol for licencing reasons.
