The McLight 2D is a weapon-mounted torch in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Design[]
The McLight 2D can be mounted onto the following weapon platforms:[PointerSlot 1][PointerSlot 2]
Mounting the McLight 2D onto a weapon will increase its inertia penalty by +0.1.[CfgWp 2] It should be noted that unlike the McLight 3D, the McLight 2D is classified as a side slot accessory, and as such, it cannot be attached to a weapon's optics slot.
Additionally, not all variants of each compatible weapon allow for the McLight 2D to be mounted. Only specific variants listed below for their respective platform support the flashlight:
- For the G3 family of battle rifles, only the G3A3[CfgWp 3], G3A4[CfgWp 4], GV M/75[CfgWp 5] and GV M/75 Carbine[CfgWp 6] allow for the McLight 2D to be attached.
- For the SG5 family of SMGs, only the SG5A2[CfgWp 7], SG5A3 (but excluding the variant with a handguard already attached)[CfgWp 8], SG5A4[CfgWp 9] and SG5A5[CfgWp 10] can mount the McLight 2D.
Trivia[]
- Global Mobilization's McLight 2D is modelled after 1980s-era LED flashlights developed by Maglite.
- It was not originally featured as a usable attachment at release and was only added in Update 1.5.[1]
