NOTE: This article is about the semi-official NATO faction in ArmA 3'sWestern Sahara Creator DLC. For its canonical counterpart in the main ARMA games, see NATO.
U.S.-led NATO forces briefly occupied the Sefrou-Ramal airbase in June 2035[1], though it was eventually returned to the control of the Arganan Air Force in January 2036.[2] They otherwise play no part in the ongoing conflict between the Arganan government and the Tura tribes.

MTP Desert camouflage
NATO forces based in the North African theatre are issued equipment that is camouflaged in Desert MTP, a pattern better suited to the dunes of the Sefrawi Desert. This is applied to all platecarriervests, uniforms, and headgear.
As for ground vehicles, only thermal-masking camo nets have been altered to use a flat tan colour scheme as opposed to a two-tone camouflage pattern. Some fixed- and rotary-wing assets on the other hand, have been repainted entirely with a low-observable desert camouflage pattern/flat tan paint scheme.

Trivia[]
Due to content usage restrictions placed upon third party-developed Creator DLCs, there are glaring gaps within the NATO faction's weapon and vehicle pool which deliberately excludes assets from official DLCs (i.e. DMRs from the Marksmen DLC).
The information below details unused, pre-release or removed content.
However, alternate camouflage and colour schemes for some premium assets can still be "restored" through the use of scripting commands or a custom addon. Examples of these "hidden" textures include:
A Sand camouflage scheme for the CH-67 Huron from the Helicopters DLC (Texture names: lxws_heli_transport_03_ext01_sand_co.paa[3], \lxws\lxws_heli_transport_03_ext02_sand_co.paa[4])
An alternate Sand camouflage scheme for the MQ-12 Falcon from the Apex expansion pack (Texture names: lxws_uav_03_1_sand_co.paa[5], lxws_uav_03_2_sand_co.paa[6])
A Sand camouflage scheme for the V-44X Blackfish, also from the Apex expansion (Texture names: vtol_01_ext01_sand_co.paa[7], vtol_01_ext02_sand_co.paa[8], vtol_01_ext03_sand_co.paa[9], vtol_01_ext04_sand_co.paa[10])
Oddly enough, an alternate Sand texture also exists for the Mk30 heavy machine gun and Mk32 automatic grenade launcher turrets but remains unused for unknown reasons (Texture name: staticturret_01_sand_co.paa[12]). Their omission is somewhat unusual given that neither of the turrets are premium assets.
