NOTE: This article is about the NSPU in ArmA 3's CSLA Iron Curtain Creator DLC. For its Takistani counterpart in ArmA 2's Operation Arrowhead expansion pack, see NSPU. |
The NSPU is a night vision scope used exclusively by the CSLA in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the CSLA Iron Curtain Creator DLC.
Design
The NSPU is a first generation passive night vision riflescope that uses a fixed magnification of 4.01x.
It can only be mounted on two platforms:
(*) Only baseline Sa-58Ps can be fitted with NSPUs. Both the V and VG-70 sub-variants do not allow the NSPU to be mounted.
The NSPU's reticle does not provide a crosshair but has markings for measuring both elevation and direction.
It is not possible to switch the scope's vision mode from night vision to a day vision. Zeroing the scope is not possible either as it always uses a fixed zero of 200 m. However, the user can always swap to using the weapon's own ironsights as a form of backup sights, though it too is restricted to a fixed zeroing of 200 m.
