« | Commandos try to disable AAA defenses on Malden. Mission Description
|
» |
Night Patrol is the tenth mission of ArmA: Cold War Assault's Cold War Crisis campaign.
Diary[]
« | Back to Malden. We've pulled out completely from Everon, leaving the Resistance to their fate. I tried to tell the Lieutenant about the situation over there, tried to get some support for Slava and his men - but he just didn't want to listen. I wonder how they're doing. Hope I'll see them again some day - but the way things are going here... I just don't know. And now, after all that's happened, I've got nothing to do but wait. My luck ran out in last night's poker game with the rest of the guys - so tonight I'm assigned to guard duty of a military installation. It'll be cold as hell, with only the cicadas for company. |

Walkthrough[]
Primary 1: Guard the military installation[]
Not much to do for this mission beside stand watch at your guard post. Your commanding officer will arrive shortly after it begins to have a chat - after that you're on your own.
Turn on your NVGs and scan the east/south-eastern flanks. You'll soon come into contact with two Spetsnaz operatives running across the hill. Eliminate both and return to your campfire. The mission will be "complete" once allied forces spot helicopters flying into your sector.
Tips[]
- There isn't actually an installation for you to guard. Keeping Armstrong alive is simply all you have to do for this mission. You can even ignore the two Spetsnaz operatives altogether, though you will get an alternate debriefing[1] and Armstrong will be reprimanded by his CO for incompetence[2].

Looks like someone sneaked by while I was taking a leak. Blew the whole thing sky high. Over. EAGLE-EYE BASE: You're a waste of space, Alpha Patrol. You'll be peeling potatoes till Christmas for this. Over and out."
