The OP-63 is a 7.62 mm sniper rifle used by both the ČSLA and in limited numbers with FIA guerillas in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the CSLA Iron Curtain Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The OP-63 is a semi-automatic, gas operated sniper rifle that utilises a short-stroke gas piston. It is chambered for the 7.62×54 mmR cartridge.
It can only load 10-round curved magazines, and can attain a fire rate of up to ~ 705 rounds per minute[CfgWp 6][Formula 1] with a muzzle velocity of 830 m/s.[CfgMa 2]
By default, OP-63s fitted with a 4x telescopic sight[CfgWp 7], though its Dovetail mount does (optionally) accept a night vision scope.[CfgWp 8] However, it is not possible to mount sound suppressors onto its muzzle, nor can the OP-63 be equipped with a bayonet and/or bipods.
Ironsights[]

The OP-63's ironsights can be zeroed starting from a minimum of 100 metres up to a maximum of 1,000 metres (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000).[CfgWp 9] Without its scope attached, the ironsights are set to use a default zeroing of 300 metres.[CfgWp 10]
The absolute maximum zeroing permitted on the OP-63 is 1,300 metres. It is not possible to exceed this limit even if an optical sight with zeroing limit greater than 1,300 metres is fitted onto the OP-63.[CfgWp 11][note 1]
Ammunition[]
NOTE: The OP-63 is capable of loading the same magazines utilised by non-CSLA 7.62 mm-chambered weapons. To minimise clutter, they are deliberately excluded from this section.

The OP-63 accepts three types of magazines. All three magazines share the same weight of 8 "mass" units:
7.62×54R Sniper 10× OP-63[]

Standard 10-round curved magazine loaded with 7.62 mm Sniper ammunition.[CfgMa 5]
Does not contain any visible tracer rounds.
7.62×54R API 10× OP-63[]

Alternate 10-round magazine loaded with 7.62 mm armour-piercing incendiary (API) ammunition.[CfgMa 6]
None of the rounds fired will emit visible tracers.
7.62×54R Training[]

Dummy magazine intended for use in marksmanship training exercises. It is loaded exclusively with blank ammunition.[CfgMa 7]
Its bullets cannot inflict damage to targets and are unable to pierce through armour. No fired rounds will emit visible tracers.

NOTE: The following table includes magazines from the base game that can also be loaded into the OP-63 whilst the CSLA Iron Curtain Creator DLC is activated.
It should be noted that magazines from other Creator DLCs that share access to the same pool of magazines (Classname: Rahim_762x54) can also be loaded into the OP-63. However, those Creator DLCs must be loaded simultaneously alongside CSLA Iron Curtain in order for them to appear as selectable options in the Virtual Arsenal. |
Trivia[]
- Prior to Update 1.1, the OP-63 was exclusive to the ČSLA and was not wielded by any FIA units in regular gameplay.[1]
- The third API-loaded magazine was also not available by default unless the user was utilising a custom addon that added the magazine to the OP-63's pool of magazines.[1]

Notes[]
- ↑ By default, the OP-63 is not capable of mounting a scope with a zeroing limit higher than 1,300 metres as no such optic for the OP-63 exists within the DLC's assets. This is only possible through the use of a custom addon that explicitly adds an optic with a higher limit.
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 Damage will be reduced if the projectile's velocity drops below this value.
- ↑ The caliber token for 7.62 mmR Training ammunition is set to a value of zero. It is not possible for its bullets to penetrate through materials of any kind.
