Purpose[]
The Office is one of the essential structures that players can build in-game. It allows them to recruit new combat units to bring into battle against other players or in the storyline campaign.
A Level 1 Office is initially only able to recruit Fire Team infantry squads, but this can be expanded to include more specialised infantry types as it is upgraded further. Later levels will unlock more powerful units such as drones and eventually, manned jet aircraft as well.
Hiring new units for battle is only possible if the player has the necessary number of Barracks constructed to support them. If there is not enough space or there are no Barracks that have been built yet, then no more new units may be hired until either condition has been met.
The unit costs are initially fixed at a set rate. However, units that have been upgraded at the Comms Centre will gradually raise the cost depending on their current research level. Fortunately, unit space requirements do not rise regardless of their upgrade level.
Note that an Office is restricted to recruiting units that it supports at its current level. For instance, if the player has two Offices; one at Level 6 and the other at Level 9, and tries to construct a Tracked UGV, then only the Level 9 Office will be able to do so as the Level 6 Office's highest tier unit that it can build at that point are Hexacopter Drones.

Trivia[]
- In spite of its frail appearance, the Office actually serves as a decent obstacle to place in front of your defensive structures due to having a large amount of hit points (once upgraded).
- An ideal base setup should have Office buildings placed outside the walls to draw fire from enemy units (especially Helicopter Drones), which will buy additional time for your more important defensive buildings like the Railgun Tower or Drone Launchpad to power up.
- Because they contribute little to raising the damage counter; usually no more than 2-4% per Office, they can be safely used in this manner without the risk of making it easier for the attacking player to gain a star (and therefore be able to "win" a battle).
