The P1 is a 9 mm handgun used by West German military forces and in limited numbers with revolutionaries in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The P1 is a short-recoil operated, locked-breech pistol that uses a double-action/single-action trigger. It is chambered to fire the 9×19 mm round.
It loads exclusively from 8-round magazines, and can attain a fire rate of up to 600 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 320 m/s. It does not support being fitted with optical sights nor muzzle attachments. The P1 has an effective firing range of approximately 50 metres.
Variants[]
P1SD[]
The P1SD is a sub-variant of the P1 pistol that has been modified to accept an undetachable sound suppressor. It is not used by any of the factions by default.
The suppressor cuts the range at which AI-controlled units will be able to hear the P1 being fired by up to 97%. It also doubles as a flash suppressor and will conceal up to 99% of the P1's muzzle flash.
However, it should be noted that the P1SD loses its illuminated strips which makes it slightly more difficult to use in low-light conditions. The P1SD is also less accurate compared to the baseline P1 pistol and has ~ 2% increased dispersion, though this difference is negligible given the distances at which the P1SD will be employed (<50 metres).
Ironsights[]
Ammunition[]
Round name | Base damage value | Aerodynamic friction | Initial velocity (m/s) | Penetration depth (mm) |
---|---|---|---|---|
DM11 | 5.45 | -0.00149297 | 320 | 2.88 |
DM51 | 6.45 | -0.00117188 | 320 | 2.88 |
DM81 | 6.45 | -0.00117188 | 320 | 2.88 |
Both the P1 and P1SD can load the same two types of magazines. They share the same weight of 2.22222 "mass" units. However, only the P1SD is specifically capable of loading a third magazine type (this third magazine is not interchangeable with regular P1 pistols):
9 mm 8Rnd P1 Ball DM11 Black Mag[]
Standard 8-round magazine loaded with 9 mm ball ammunition. It is usable by both the P1 and P1SD.
Does not contain visible tracers.
9 mm 8Rnd P1 Ball DM51 Black Mag[]
Alternate magazine loaded with DM51 ammunition.
It is mostly identical to regular DM11-loaded magazines but has increased stopping power and retains energy slightly better over longer distances.
9 mm 8Rnd P1 Ball-SD DM81 Black Mag[]
Special magazine loaded with 9 mm DM81 ammunition that is aerodynamically identical to DM51 rounds. The main difference is that DM81 rounds are slightly less noticeable to AI-controlled units. Their suppression effects (and radius of detection to its impacts) are also reduced.
This magazine cannot be loaded into P1s and is exclusive to the P1SD.
Trivia[]
- The P1's accuracy was improved after the release of Update 1.1.3844.[1]
- At release, only the baseline P1 pistol was available as part of the DLC's usable assets. The P1SD sub-variant was only added after Update 1.5.[2]
