Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The HMG PKM is a gas operated, air-cooled, belt fed machine gun that fires from an open bolt. It is chambered to fire the 7.62×54 mm cartridge.
It loads from 100-round belt boxes, and can attain a fire rate of ~ 652 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 825 m/s. The HMG PKM cannot be fitted with optical sights or muzzle attachments but features an integral folding bipod. The ironsights can be zeroed up to a maximum range of 1,000 metres.
Ironsights[]

The HMG PKM's ironsights can be manually zeroed starting at a minimum of 100 metres up to a maximum of 1,200 metres (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200). By default, it uses a zeroing of 400 metres.

HMG PKMs are capable of loading four types of "magazines". They each have "mass" values of 86.66 units:
7.62 mmR 100Rnd Ball-T 7T2 Mag[]

Standard 100-round belt box. Loaded with regular 7.62 mm ball ammunition.
Every third round fired consists of a green tracer. The last four rounds will always consist exclusively of tracers.
7.62 mmR 100Rnd API 7BZ3 Mag[]

Special "magazine" loaded with armour-piercing incendiary rounds. The rounds have a small spill radius of 0.2 metres upon impact.
7.62 mmR 100Rnd Ball-T T46 Mag[]

Tracer "magazine". Contains 100 rounds worth of visible tracer ammunition.
It remains otherwise identical to regular 100-round belts.
7.62 mmR 100Rnd API B32 Mag[]

Alternate armour-piercing "magazine".
It is completely identical to the standard belts loaded with 7BZ3 ammunition.
Trivia[]
- The HMG PKM's accuracy was reduced after the release of Update 1.1.3844.[1]
- The release of Update 1.2 cut down the weight of the PKM itself but simultaneously increased the weight of its magazines.[2]
