The PM-63 9 mm submachine gun.

The PM-63 is a 9 mm submachine gun used by both East German and Polish military forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.

Overview[]

This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.

The PM-63 is a selective-fire, blowback-operated compact submachine gun chambered for the 9×18 mm cartridge.

It can load from either 25- or 15-round box magazines, and can attain a fire rate of approximately ~ 650 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 320 m/s.

The PM-63 cannot be fitted with optical sights but can be zeroed between two fixed distances of either 75 or 150 metres. It can also (optionally) mount a specially designed "Safloryt" sound suppressor, though laser pointers and flashlights are not supported.

Variants[]

Sidearm[]

This version of the PM-63 is carried (and wielded) as a sidearm rather than as a primary weapon.

Save for its "handgun" configuration, the sidearm version is both functionally and statistically unchanged from the baseline PM-63.

Ironsights[]

The PM-63's ironsights can be manually zeroed. However, it can only be adjusted between two fixed ranges of either 75 metres or 150 metres.

Ammunition[]

Both the primary and sidearm versions of the PM-63 are only able to load two types of magazines (they are fully interchangeable with one another). The two magazines share the same weight of 3.333 "mass" units:

Does not contain any visible tracers.

Reduced capacity magazine with only 15 rounds loaded.

Aside from its lower capacity, it is statistically identical to the regular 25-rounder magazines.

Trivia[]

  • On the primary weapon version of the PM-63, its stock will automatically unfold when equipped and fold when dropped onto the ground (this does not apply to the sidearm version).
  • It was not available as part of Global Mobilization's launch content and was only included after the release of Update 1.2.[1]
  • Prior to Update 1.5, the PM-63 was only available as a primary weapon. The patch subsequently introduced a "handgun" version that could be carried in the user's sidearm slot, though the accuracy for both PM-63s was significantly decreased.[2]
    • The patch also changed the loadouts for East German and Polish SOF units so that they wielded the "handgun" counterpart in lieu of the primary weapon version.
