The PiM is a 9 mm handgun used exclusively by East German military forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The PiM is a locally produced derivative of the Soviet PM pistol.
It can only load 8-round magazines, and is able to attain a fire rate of up to 600 rounds per minute[CfgWp 6][Formula 1] with a muzzle velocity of 315 m/s.[CfgWp 7][Formula 2][note 1] It cannot be fitted with optical sights. Since the barrel is not threaded, the PiM is unable to have a sound suppressor mounted its muzzle.
Variants[]
PiMB[]

The PiMB variant is not utilised by any of the main factions.
Compared to its parent pistol, the PiMB incorporates a threaded barrel, allowing the user the attach a 9 mm sound suppressor onto the muzzle if needed.[CfgWp 13] Aside from this modification, the PiMB remains statistically unchanged from the baseline PiM pistol.
Ironsights[]

The PiM and PiMB share the same ironsights that are set to a fixed zeroing of 50 metres. Neither pistol's ironsights allow for zeroing to be manually adjusted.[CfgWp 14][CfgWp 15][CfgWp 16][CfgWp 17]

Trivia[]
- Both variants of the PiM were not originally a part of DLC's launch assets and were only added after the release of Update 1.5.[1] Prior to the patch, conventional and SOF East German units utilised the Polish PM pistol instead.
- Prior to Update 1.6, AI units equipped with PiM pistols could hit targets with pinpoint accuracy at any distance. This was fixed by the patch's release so that they no longer share the same dispersion values with human players.[2]
