Pilot Coveralls are multi-faction uniforms in ArmA 3.
Overview[]
Pilot Coveralls are worn by fixed-wing aircrews, transportation, and fighter jet pilots. They have a weight of 80 "mass" units[CfgWp 1][CfgWp 2] and provide enough storage space for up to 60 units worth of ammunition/items.[CfgWp 3][CfgWp 4]
Although the Pilot Coveralls are not considered to be ballistic-resistant, the user's arms, legs and hands are capable of providing its wearer a limited degree of protection to damage from indirect explosions.
Variants[]
CSAT[]
Unlike its NATO/AAF counterparts, CSAT's Pilot Coveralls are ballistic-resistant and are rated at Level II protection standards. Consequently however, the CSAT variant weighs much more with a total "mass" of 100 instead[CfgWp 5] (storage capacity remains unchanged at 60 "mass" units).[CfgWp 6]
As with the combat fatigues worn by conventional ground infantry, the CSAT variant of the Pilot Coveralls provides ballistic protection for the user's neck, pelvis, abdomen, diaphragm, chest, arms, hands and legs.

Camouflage[]
- Blue: Light blue colour scheme. Used by NATO fixed-wing pilots/aircrews.
- Hex: Semi-arid Hexacam camouflage pattern scheme with an olive drab-coloured survival vest. Exclusive to both CSAT fixed- and rotary-wing pilots.
- Olive: Olive green colour scheme. Only utilised by the AAF and LDF's fixed-wing pilots.
Trivia[]
- Despite being visually identical to each other (aside from camouflage), neither the NATO nor AAF/LDF versions retain any ballistic-resistant qualities like the CSAT variant.
- Prior to Game Update 1.10, the NATO and AAF versions shared the same ballistic-resistant attributes of the CSAT Pilot Coveralls. This was changed after the patch's release so that both outfits' ballistic protection was reduced.[1]
- Game Update 1.26 further reduced the protection capabilities of both uniforms, though it better enhanced their protection values against indirect explosions.[2]
- A bug temporarily caused Pilot Coveralls (for all factions) to have extremely high resistance to damage from gunfire no matter how many times they were shot in the pelvis or legs. This was quickly corrected by Game Update 1.26's release.[2]
- The LDF variant was not originally available at ArmA 3's launch and would only be included after the Contact expansion's release.[3]
