The RPG Pack is a multi-faction backpack in ArmA 2. It was added with the release of the Operation Arrowhead expansion pack.
Overview[]
Designed exclusively to store grenade rounds for the RPG-7V launcher, the RPG Pack is a backpack that is carried by Takistani Army soldiers, Republican militias, UN peacekeepers, as well as with anti-government rebel assistant gunners. It has a maximum storage capacity of eight slots.[CfgVh 1]
Although intended to store munitions for the RPG-7V, the RPG Pack is more than capable of carrying other types of ammunition as well. Its downside stems from the fact that it cannot fit a non-heavy primary weapon or sidearm[CfgVh 2] (a problem shared with the Civilian Assault Pack/U.S. Assault Pack) which hampers its utility outside of carrying rifle magazines or RPG/UGL rounds.
The lack of camouflage variety and the bright colour scheme of its canvas cover also makes it ill-suited for stealth purposes, both of which will increase the wearer's visibility from afar.
Trivia[]
- Like the ALICE Pack, the RPG Pack could initially be seen being carried by ChDKZ, CDF, and even Russian anti-tank gunners in the original ArmA 2. These "backpacks" were purely cosmetic however, and could not be removed or be treated like an actual backpack.
