Regulator facepieces are used in combination with SCBA units. They provide clean air from a tank and create a closed system with a full face mask.

Note: this gear is primarily cosmetic; limited features are only available in the context of Contact's campaign and gameplay.

The Regulator Facepiece is a gas mask worn by civilian scientists, Tanoan Gendarmerie officers and CSAT doctors in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Contact DLC.

Overview[]

This is a premium asset that requires ownership of the Contact expansion pack.

Regulator Facepieces supply clean air directly from the tank and create a closed system with a full face mask designed to prevent contaminants from affecting the user.

They are always used in combination with Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) backpacks. They have a weight of 8 "mass" units.^{[CfgGs 1]}

Trivia[]

Just like mil-spec APRs, the Regulator Facepiece is purely cosmetic outside of the First Contact/Old Man campaigns and has no functionality in regular gameplay.
The Regulator Facepiece's first person overlay texture from the non-canon First Contact campaign was originally not usable unless the Contact expansion's dedicated campaign module was specifically activated. It was eventually ported over and made as part of the base game's content^[2] but can only be enabled in custom addons or through the use of scripting commands.^[3]
