« | The Chedaki were defeated and we routed their Russian allies. Now we have to pacify the region. Mission Description
|
» |
Revelation is one of the alternate, non-canon endings to ArmA 2's Operation Harvest Red campaign.
Diary[]
« | I can't believe it's almost over. It feels like we've always been here. But it is nearly over. The Chedaki are screwed, broken beyond any hope of regrouping. Their Russian buddies are grumbling from across the border, but the world is behind Chernarus now. The people of this country are united and nobody wants to see further conflict. It's a shame we couldn't convince the Russians that they were really victims in this too, that they were manipulated into a fight, because now they're suffering for it. Militarily and politically. Ah well, I don't feel too sorry for them! | » |
Overview[]
The players control the four operatives of USMC Force Recon fireteam callsign Razor. Despite being pitted against the odds, the CDF and NAPA stand triumphant over the ChDKZ. Remnants of the insurgency have gone underground, Lopotev is dead at long last, and the Russians have been dealt a humiliating defeat. Though their mission is over, Razor Team has one final errand to complete before they can leave the country for good.

Optional[]
N/A
Mandatory[]
- All members of Razor must survive
- Avoid collateral damage/friendly fire
- Do not leave the AO
Walkthrough[]
Speak to Major Stavovich. Once he's briefed you on the current situation, head to the location of the NAPA informant at the crossroads on grid 043-097.
You can take any of the vehicles at the staging area in Zelenogorsk to drive there. When you arrive, a cutscene and some dialogue will commence before the campaign comes to a rather radioactive end.
You cannot complete the second objective as the mission will finish before you can even get close to the airport.
Epilogue[]
« | When Russian troops were forced across the border and out of Chernarussian territory their government misinterpreted the situation as a direct and serious threat on its integrity. The Commander of Zagorski Military District was granted permission to use tactical nuclear weapons to eradicate the supposed American/Chernarussian invasion and launch a counter-offensive. In the following conflict, conspirators managed to hide all evidence connecting ChDKZ personnel to the Moscow bombing. The truth remains buried in the ashes. Team Razor was declared 'Missing In Action' and their real fate was never revealed. |

Trivia[]
- Internal script and filenames for the mission suggest that Revelation was intended to be titled End Of All Things instead.
- Revelation results in the worst outcome to the campaign, its consequences far exceeding the aftermath of Missing In Action.
- Not only does it result in Razor Team being killed but the 27th MEU, CDF and NAPA are also wiped out by the attack, with Chernarus itself being turned into an irradiated wasteland.
- Worse yet, the usage of tactical nuclear weapons against U.S. military forces - resulting in the loss of not just a few Marines but an entire MEU, undoubtedly has the potential to spark a wider conflict that inevitably escalates into a strategic exchange.
- Most of all, the truth behind Operation Cobalt is successfully covered up by the politicians who supported Karelin's conspiracy. Even assuming that the world did not end in a nuclear holocaust, the only people who knew about the truth were dead, and NAPA would forever be blamed for the Moscow bombings.
