Politics[]
Presidency[]
2009[]
An unnamed president oversaw the crisis in neighbouring Chernarus after an armed uprising was carried out by the so-called "Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star" (ChDKZ) in the country's South Zagoria province.
The administration did not openly support the rebel movement's declaration of intent to reunify with Russia[1], but simultaneously opposed any unilateral attempts from the United States that sought military action in favour of the (still officially recognised) Chernarussian government-in-exile.[2]
« | The President would not comment, but insiders tell us there is growing impatience at the Kremlin for direct action in our fracturing neighbor-state. News networks speculate on the president's next course of action following the Moscow bombings

The president would later deploy Russian peacekeepers to supplant their counterparts from the United States after the Moscow bombings on October 16th, 2009.[3][4] However, they were quickly withdrawn from the country several days later after their peacekeeping mandate is revoked by the UN Security Council.[5]
Following a bilateral agreement with the U.S., the president would mandate that the truth behind the cause of the uprising be kept secret at the highest levels.[6][7] In the aftermath, several high-ranking politicians and military officials who supported the insurgents were found guilty and were executed for committing high treason.[8]
2013-20XX[]
One year after the UN-sanctioned invasion of Takistan by U.S.-led NATO forces, the Russian government separately partook in the post-invasion stabilisation and counterinsurgency efforts. The president authorised the deployment of Russian troops to secure Northern Takistan and the areas surrounding the regional capital of Awdak.[9]
However, infighting between the regional tribes, remnants of the former regime, and the civilian government in Takmyr quickly escalated in the months that followed.[4][10] The Russian government did not support either side and remained indifferent to the ongoing strife.
20XX-2039[]

Russia stands at a crossroads between an expanding East and a West in decline (2039)
As of 2039, Nika Grekova holds the seat of president.[11]
« | This is an age of radical change. We see the European Union crumbling, America's economy failing, the old order of things being swept away. We have no interest in reigniting Cold War tensions. Rather, we are searching out opportunities to redistribute the heavy responsibility, now resting on our shoulders. In a surprise announcement, Grekova officially declares July 15th, 2039 as the date for a vote on Russia's membership into CSAT
|

Their administration is currently debating the merits of joining the Chinese-led CSAT alliance. A vote was initially scheduled to take place on July 15th, 2039, to officially decide on whether Russia would join the alliance as a full member.[12][13][14] The outcome of the Kremlin's decision on whether to join the alliance is not known.[15]
Economy[]
For almost two decades, revenues gained from an oil crisis that began in 2016 has caused the Russian economy to skyrocket.[16] Close economic ties and flourishing trade with members of the CSAT alliance[17][18][19] has further contributed to Russia's economic growth.[15]
